Know what your history includes.
Coverage depends on your plan, Shopify permissions, enabled observations, and retained evidence. Tracking starts after the relevant setup; it cannot recreate an earlier history Shopify did not provide.

Restoration is selective and evidence-dependent: supported product, variant, collection, page, or inventory fields may be eligible. Order and theme restoration are not offered. StoreChronicle is not a whole-store backup.
Two different retention periods
Change history is not the same as restoration evidence.
Shorter store settings and privacy deletion still apply. Evidence can expire while an ordinary change-history entry remains.

Activity and restoration evidence: up to 7 days.
Standard
$9/month or $90/year.
Ordinary history: 90 days.
Activity and restoration evidence: up to 90 days.
Pro
$19/month or $190/year.
Ordinary history: no automatic age-based expiry while installed.
Activity and restoration evidence: up to 120 days, with either billing interval.
Choose monthly or annual billing for either paid plan. Annual billing costs the equivalent of ten monthly payments, saving about 17%. Both intervals include the same features and retention within each plan. No usage-based overages. After a confirmed downgrade, a seven-day read-only ordinary-history export grace helps you preserve accessible history. It does not extend restoration, activity evidence, or other higher-plan features. Uninstall and privacy deletion take precedence.
Common questions
Before you use StoreChronicle.
Does StoreChronicle identify exactly who made a change?
No. It can show optional Shopify-reported activity labels where available. These labels are not verified staff identities, and related activity is not proof of who caused a specific recorded change. Unknown attribution stays unknown.
Can I roll back my entire Shopify store?
No. StoreChronicle is not a whole-store backup or disaster-recovery service. Selective restoration is limited to eligible retained fields, requires Shopify permissions and confirmation, and cannot reverse every downstream effect. Other apps or staff can make concurrent edits.
Does it record every change in real time?
No. Supported Shopify events and configured observations provide evidence, but delayed delivery, outages, access restrictions, and observation intervals can leave gaps. The app shows recovery and unresolved-gap information instead of claiming missing history is complete.
Can I export my history?
Pro includes formula-safe CSV export and a read-only API. Exports cover available, entitled records; multi-part exports are not an atomic snapshot of the entire store. A confirmed downgrade also provides a seven-day read-only ordinary-history export grace.
What happens when I uninstall?
Authenticated Shopify uninstall and shop-deletion notifications trigger store-data cleanup. Reinstalling does not guarantee recovery of deleted history. Backup copies and external recipients have separate handling, explained in the StoreChronicle privacy disclosure.
Is StoreChronicle available on the Shopify App Store?
